Accurate Dream at Séries Mania 2025: A Landmark Moment with La Famille Rose

Accurate Dream had the immense honor of taking part in the 2025 edition of the Séries Mania Festival as co-producer of the series La Famille Rose, which was selected for the French Competition. A major milestone for our team and a strong recognition of special effects makeup (SFX) in France.

An Internationally Renowned Event

From the red carpet to behind-the-scenes panels, and industry networking to in-depth discussions, Séries Mania was a rich and inspiring experience. Held in Lille, it allowed us to showcase our expertise to broadcasters, journalists, artists, technicians, and fiction enthusiasts alike.

La Famille Rose: A Bold Vision Enhanced by SFX

Created by Tigran Rosine, La Famille Rose immerses viewers into the unsettling intimacy of a French family... of cannibals. A disturbing yet deeply human universe, where special effects play a central role.

Our studio was in charge of the complete SFX makeup: prosthetics, gore effects, and body transformations — all designed in close collaboration with directors and key department leads.
The goal? To strike the right balance between realism, poetic horror, and narrative credibility.

Red Carpet Premiere

One of the highlights of the week was the red carpet walk for the official screening of La Famille Rose, attended by industry professionals, the press, and curious festivalgoers. The artistic team, cast members, and Accurate Dream’s founder, Franck Dubois, proudly represented the studio during this special evening.

Following the premiere, a Q&A session gave the audience a behind-the-scenes look at the series, from production anecdotes to secrets behind the SFX designs.

A Spotlight on French-Made Special Effects

We were also honored to host an exciting conference focused on SFX in France, featuring our work on La Famille Rose. This talk covered:

  • The role of practical SFX in modern French series

  • Our techniques in prosthetic creation and use of eco-conscious materials

  • Collaboration with directors, producers, actors, and costume designers

  • The artistic and logistical challenges we faced during production

The conference sparked strong interest and led to valuable conversations with professionals, students, and passionate fans. It was open to the public and will soon be available online!

Networking & Opportunities at Séries Mania Pro

Throughout the week, Accurate Dream was also present at the Séries Mania Pro Forum, a hub for networking and meetings. From Monday to Thursday, we connected with numerous producers, broadcasters, writers, and technicians interested in our practical FX approach.

These exchanges allowed us to build new partnerships, explore potential collaborations, and confirm the growing enthusiasm for handcrafted SFX and especially in the thriller, fantasy, and horror genres.

Media Recognition

Our presence did not go unnoticed. Several articles and publications highlighted our contribution to La Famille Rose, including:

  • A dedicated page on Séries Mania’s official website for our conference

  • Coverage from Tournages Grand Est, CEEA, and Black Sheep Films, our production partner

We were also interviewed by multiple media outlets — with features set to be published soon in industry press.

A Key Chapter in Our Journey

Séries Mania 2025 will remain a meaningful and symbolic chapter for Accurate Dream. It was an opportunity to present our SFX vision, celebrate craftsmanship and innovation, and prove that France holds a unique, internationally recognized expertise in special effects makeup.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the La Famille Rose team, our production partners, and of course the Séries Mania Festival for their trust.

Stay tuned for exclusive photos from the festival, behind-the-scenes looks at the series, and team interviews coming soon on our blog and social media!
